Liberation Room sessions move between structured analysis and open community conversation.

On the analysis side, we work through the Reconstruction Framework together, applying it to the systems members are living and working inside, from workplaces and institutions to families, faith communities, and public policy.

On the community side, sessions make room for what the analysis stirs up: grief for what these systems have taken, the unlearning that comes with deconstructing what you were raised inside, and the plain relief of being believed by people who understand.

Sessions are trauma-informed, so you can listen, speak, or simply be present at your own pace. Members leave with sharper language for what they are seeing, a community to practice with, and a next step they can take in their own sphere.

Sustaining the Community Together

The Liberation Room is free because access to community should not depend on financial resources. The mutual aid network is how members who are able to contribute support the community's sustainability — ensuring that the gatherings, the facilitation, and the platform remain available to everyone. Mutual aid is not charity. It is solidarity.

The Liberation Room is a space we protect carefully. Before joining, we ask you to complete a short form answering a few questions — not as a barrier, but as a way of making sure this remains a safe, trusted space for the people already doing this work together.

  • The Liberation Room is a free online community for people doing the work of reconstruction — individually, professionally, and collectively. Virtual gatherings happen twice monthly on Sundays, facilitated and holding space for both structured analysis and open community conversation. Between gatherings, members have access to discussion spaces, shared resources, and peer connection through the online platform.

    The Liberation Room is not a support group, a lecture series, or a networking event. It is a community organized around a shared commitment to seeing systems clearly, naming them precisely, and building something different.

  • No. The Liberation Room has three entry points and the course is only one of them. You are welcome if you have completed The Architecture of Harm and want community to sustain the work. You are welcome if you are deconstructing from oppressive systems and need a space that holds that seriously. And you are welcome if you are navigating oppression in your own life and need a place to name what you are experiencing and be in community with people who understand.

    No prerequisites. New members complete a short interest form so we can keep the community safe for everyone in it. Come as you are.

  • The Liberation Room is free to join and participate in — fully, without limitation. The mutual aid membership is a voluntary option for members who are able and willing to contribute financially to the community's sustainability.

    Mutual aid contributions support platform costs, facilitation, course access scholarships, and emergency support for community members in need. Members who contribute receive no special access and no benefits that non-contributing members do not have. The community is equal regardless of financial contribution. Mutual aid is solidarity, not a fee.

  • The Liberation Room is a closed space. New members complete a short interest form before they are welcomed in, so we know who is joining and can protect the people already here. The form includes an agreement to keep what is shared in the room confidential. Gatherings and discussion spaces are not public and are not recorded or shared outside the community. Members decide what they share, and nothing said in the room leaves it, including names, stories, and details that could identify someone. If someone breaks that trust, we address it directly and may remove them from the community. These are the privacy practices we build the room around, though no online space can promise perfect privacy, so we encourage you to share at the level that feels safe to you.
